The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Carroll County in east central Ohio...
Northern Tuscarawas County in east central Ohio...

* Until 930 AM EST Sunday.

* At 923 PM EST, radar indicated rain is diminishing in the warned
area; however, multiple road closure and flooding incidents are
ongoing and will continue through the night due to runoff.

ESTIMATED RAINFALL... Up to 2.5 inches.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Philadelphia... Dover...
Uhrichsville... Carrollton...
Minerva... Strasburg...
Sugarcreek... Augusta...
Malvern... Bolivar...
Midvale... Mineral City...

Including the cities of New Philadelphia, Dover, Carrollton,
Malvern, East Liverpool, Salem, Columbiana, Coshocton, Cadiz,
Steubenville, Weirton, Follansbee, and Wellsburg

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of east central Ohio and West Virginia, including the
following areas, in east central Ohio, Carroll, Columbiana,
Coshocton, Harrison, Jefferson, and Tuscarawas. In West
Virginia, Brooke and Hancock.

* Until midnight EST tonight

* Rain will move back in with the cold front this evening.
Additional rainfall of up to a half inch may pose problems in
areas that have already seen almost two inches of rain today.

* The expected rainfall totals could cause area streams and
creeks to overflow their banks, as well as standing or flowing
water across some roadways.


A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
