The Flood Warning continues for
the Muskingum River At Beverly.
* AT 1:45 AM Friday the stage was 30.2 feet.
* Minor Flooding is occurring and moderate Flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Forecast...the river is currently falling. Additional rainfall will cause
the river to rise again on Saturday.
* At stages near 34.0 feet...Several areas near the river are flooded. Homes,
farmland, camps, several sections of Route 60, and secondary roads near the
river are flooded.

The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Central Washington County in southeastern Ohio...
South central Morgan County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 230 AM EST Saturday

* At 235 AM EST, reporting gauges along Duck Creek in Washington
County indicate the creek remains out of its banks. In addition,
Wolf Creek in Morgan and Washington Counties may be exceeding
bankfull. Expect flooding of low lying areas near both creeks.
Some county roads that run adjacent to those creeks may also
experience flooding.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marietta, Chesterhill, Macksburg, Lower Salem, Fleming and Devola.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Washington County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 245 AM EST Saturday

* At 250 AM EST, the reporting gauge at Bloomfield indicates the
Little Muskingum River remains well out of its banks. Low lying
areas near the river will continue to experience flooding,
including some county roads that run adjacent to the river.

* Flooding will remain over mainly rural areas of northeastern
Washington County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast
Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan,
Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In West Virginia, Cabell,
Jackson WV, Mason, Pleasants, Tyler, Wayne, and Wood.

* Through Sunday morning

* Waves of low pressure, along a front over the area, will bring
several more rounds of heavy rainfall. The next round will come
early this morning and today, followed by several more this
weekend. The front will finally sweep through the area Sunday,
as a cold front, bringing the threat for heavy rainfall to an
end Sunday afternoon.

* Flooding of larger streams, creeks and rivers, especially the
Ohio and Muskingum rivers, is likely.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
