...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Central Ohio and West Central Ohio, including the
following areas, in Central Ohio, Delaware, Fairfield,
Franklin OH, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union
OH. In West Central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke,
Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, and Shelby.
* Until midnight EDT tonight
* Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon and evening. This activity will be capable of
producing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. With the
ground already saturated in many locations, localized flash
flooding will be possible through the evening hours.
People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
Western Hardin County in west central Ohio...
* Until 615 PM EDT.
* At 318 PM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain are
producing between 1 and 2 inches of rain per hour. This rain on
top of earlier rains will cause creeks to rise rapidly and may
cause high water on roadways.
* Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways
and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks,
streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.
Some locations that will experience minor flooding include...
Kenton, Ada, Dunkirk, Alger, Blanchard, Mcguffey, Dola, Silver Creek,
Mentzer, Jumbo, Huntersville and Walton.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
