* LOCATIONS...NORTHERN CAYUGA...OSWEGO...AND LEWIS COUNTIES.

* TIMING...FROM LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH EARLY MONDAY EVENING.
HEAVIEST SNOW OVERNIGHT THROUGH EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* HAZARDS...HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 4 INCHES OVERNIGHT...5 TO 7 INCHES
MONDAY...LEADING TO STORM TOTALS OF 7 TO 11 INCHES.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH
PRODUCING SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* WIND CHILLS...AROUND 10 BELOW ZERO AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...STEADY MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL RESULT IN VERY
POOR TRAVEL CONDITIONS WITH SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LOW
VISIBILITY. VERY COLD WIND CHILLS MAY RESULT IN FROSTBITE AND
HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE NOT DRESSED FOR THE COLD.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS
EXPECTED. HEAVY SNOW AND/OR ICE WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS. IF YOU WILL BE TRAVELING IN THE WARNING AREA YOU
SHOULD CHOOSE AN ALTERNATE ROUTE IF POSSIBLE...OR YOU SHOULD USE
EXTREME CAUTION IF TRAVEL IS UNAVOIDABLE.

IF YOU LOSE POWER AND PLAN ON RUNNING A GENERATOR...MAKE SURE
THAT THE GENERATOR IS LOCATED OUTDOORS AND IS PROPERLY
VENTILATED. SPACE HEATERS SHOULD ALSO BE PROPERLY VENTILATED AND
USED ONLY IF THEY ARE OPERATING PROPERLY. MAKE SURE SNOW DOES NOT
BLOCK EXHAUSTS AND FRESH AIR INTAKES FOR HIGH EFFICIENCY FURNACES
AND WATER HEATERS.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTHERN FINGER LAKES AND WESTERN MOHAWK
VALLEY REGIONS...INCLUDING THE SYRACUSE AND UTICA METRO AREAS.

* HAZARDS...HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTALS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS OR FLURRIES WILL OCCUR THROUGH MID-
AFTERNOON...WITH ONLY A COATING OF ACCUMULATION. STEADIER SNOW
WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING HOURS...GENERALLY BETWEEN 4 AND 8 PM. THE HEAVIEST SNOW
WILL FALL LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MIDDAY MONDAY...WHEN SNOWFALL OF
1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER
OFF BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON ON MONDAY.

* TEMPERATURES...MAINLY IN THE TEENS THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY
EVENING...THEN RANGING FROM 5 TO 15 ABOVE LATE TONIGHT AND
MONDAY.

* IMPACTS...SLIPPERY TRAVEL CONDITIONS FROM SNOW COVERED ROADS
AND WALKWAYS.
