...LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
MIDNIGHT EST THURSDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A LAKE
EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
TO MIDNIGHT EST THURSDAY NIGHT. THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS NO
LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...SOUTHEASTERN ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...MODERATE SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW, THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS WILL
BE SOUTH OF ROUTE 3.

* MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATE...UP TO 1 INCH PER HOUR.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA LATE
TONIGHT, BECOMING MODERATE AT TIMES THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON
BEFORE TAPERING OFF THURSDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...THE SNOWFALL WILL CREATE SLIPPERY AND SNOW COVERED
ROADWAYS AND MAY PRODUCE ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...LOWS IN THE MID 20S. HIGHS IN THE LOWER 30S.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE-EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE-EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE
INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS. USE
CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING.
