WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 1 PM MONDAY TO 7 PM EST TUESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE EASTERN CATSKILLS...MID HUDSON
VALLEY...SCHOHARIE VALLEY...MOHAWK VALLEY...HELDERBERGS...CAPITAL
REGION...TACONICS...BERKSHIRES...AND LITCHFIELD COUNTY
CONNECTICUT.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION OF 2 TO 6 INCHES.
THE HIGHER TERRAIN WEST OF THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY WILL SEE THE
GREATEST ACCUMULATION. SOME LOCATIONS COULD HAVE 1 TO 2 INCHES
OF SLEET.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...A TRACE TO A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...THE PRECIPITATIONS WILL BEGIN AS A MIXTURE OF RAIN AND
SLEET DURING THE LATE MORNING AND EARLY AFTERNOON SOUTH AND WEST
OF THE CAPITAL REGION. THE PRECIPITATION WILL OVERSPREAD THE
MOHAWK VALLEY...CAPITAL REGION...AND BERKSHIRES DURING THE
AFTERNOON AS SNOW...SLEET AND RAIN. THE PRECIPITATION WILL
TRANSITION TO SNOW AND SLEET IN THE EARLY EVENING AND PERSIST
INTO TUESDAY MORNING NORTH OF THE MID-HUDSON VALLEY. SLEET WILL
MIX WITH THE RAIN IN THE MID HUDSON VALLEY...SOUTHERN
TACONICS...AND NORTHWEST CONNECTICUT. ALL THE PRECIPITATION MAY
CHANGE TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN LATE TUESDAY
MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...ICE...SLEET...SNOW AND SLUSH COVERED ROADWAYS WILL
MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL. UNTREATED WALKWAYS...DRIVEWAYS AND
SIDEWALKS WILL BE VERY SLIPPERY.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 TO 55 MPH.
THE STRONGEST GUSTS WILL BE OVER THE TACONICS...BERKSHIRES AND
LITCHFIELD COUNTY CONNECTICUT.

* LOCATIONS...THE SOUTHERN ADIRONDACKS REGION...LAKE GEORGE
SARATOGA REGION...AND SOUTHERN VERMONT.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATION...4 TO 8 INCHES...AS THE HIGHER TOTALS
WILL BE ALONG THE EAST FACING SLOPES OF THE ADIRONDACKS. 1 TO 2
INCHES OF SLEET IS POSSIBLE IN SOME LOCATIONS.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...GENERALLY A COATING TO A TENTH OF AN INCH
WITH ISOLATED AMOUNTS UP TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH IN THE
SOUTHERN GREEN MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING...SNOW AND SLEET WILL MOVE INTO THE ADVISORY AREA EARLY
MONDAY EVENING. THE SNOW AND SLEET MAY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES.
FREEZING RAIN MAY MIX WITH THE SLEET AND SNOW ACROSS SOUTHERN
VERMONT TUESDAY MORNING. THE MIXED PRECIPITATION OF
SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING RAIN...AND RAIN WILL CONTINUE TUESDAY
AFTERNOON INTO THE EARLY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE COVERED ROADWAYS WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS
TRAVEL. UNTREATED WALKWAYS...DRIVEWAYS AND SIDEWALKS WILL BE
VERY SLIPPERY. VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED TO UNDER A HALF MILE
IN AREAS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW.

* WINDS...EAST TO NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS 35 TO 55 MPH.
THE STRONGEST GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH WILL BE OVER SOUTHERN
VERMONT...ESPECIALLY BENNINGTON AND WESTERN WINDHAM COUNTIES.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S TO MID 30S.
