THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of central and western New York...including the
following counties...in central New York...Northern Cayuga. In
western New York...Allegany...Cattaraugus...Chautauqua...
Ontario...Orleans...Southern Erie...Wayne and Wyoming.
* From 1 PM EST this afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* Warming temperatures, snowmelt and rainfall will enhance the
risk for ice jam flooding. Rainfall during the watch period
will average between a quarter and a half inch with the
potential for three quarter inch.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
