The National Weather Service in Albany has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Albany County in east central New York...
South central Saratoga County in east central New York...

* Until 245 PM EST Friday

* At 118 PM EST, Emergency management officials are reporting an ice
jam in place on the Mohawk River in the vicinity of the Twin
Bridges. Some flooding is possible in low lying areas along the
Mohawk River through Friday morning. Ice jams are very unstable
and conditions can change rapidly.


Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

* WHAT...Snow and sleet. Some freezing rain in southwest Ulster
County. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 3 to 5 inches are
expected. Also up to a tenth of an inch of ice accretion is
possible in parts of southwest Ulster County.

* WHERE...the eastern Catskills, Schoharie County and the

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, including
during the evening commute today. Be prepared for reduced
visibilities at times. Maximum snowfall rates up to one inch
per hour are possible.
