A cold front moving south across northeast CA has brought light
snow to some areas in Modoc and Lassen Counties, mainly north and
west of Susanville. These spotty snow amounts have been very
light but have created slick spots on roadways, including on Cedar
Pass and on highway 395 near Madeline.
The cold front will continue to move south overnight, creating
snow and slick spots on roads. Very light snow is expected in the
Reno-Sparks area between about 3 to 6 am. Anyone traveling in
western NV (north of highway 50) Saturday morning should check
road conditions before departing.
