...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 8 PM
PDT THIS EVENING FOR PYRAMID LAKE...
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory for Pyramid Lake, which is in effect from 2 PM this
afternoon to 8 PM PDT this evening.
* Winds: South to southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph
this afternoon becoming west this evening.
* Wave Heights: 2 to 3 feet from mid-lake to north and east
* Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing
and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve.
Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a
sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing
boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT
* WHAT...Periods of light snow, with rough conditions on Lake
Tahoe. Snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches, with localized
amounts up to 10 inches near the crest, are expected.
* WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area.
* WHEN...Until 5 AM PDT Sunday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions, mainly
before 9 AM this morning and after 6 PM this evening. Be
prepared for reduced visibilities at times. Rough conditions on
Lake Tahoe through this evening, with waves 2 to 4 feet from
mid-lake to north and east shores.
Even light snowfall causes major travel delays, especially during
periods of high traffic volume. Be sure to allow extra time to
reach your destination. Leave extra space between vehicles since
it takes longer to stop on slick roadways. The latest road
