...LAKE WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING
TO 4 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON FOR LAKE TAHOE...

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS 30 MPH IN THE
MORNING...INCREASING 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH IN THE
AFTERNOON...CONTINUING OVERNIGHT.

* WAVE HEIGHTS: 1 TO 3 FEET IN THE MORNING WITH HEIGHTS 2 TO 4
FEET IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGHEST WAVES WILL BE FROM MID LAKE
TO NORTHEASTERN SHORES.

* SMALL BOATS, KAYAKS AND PADDLE BOARDS WILL BE PRONE TO
CAPSIZING AND SHOULD REMAIN OFF LAKE WATERS UNTIL CONDITIONS
IMPROVE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

CHECK LAKE CONDITIONS BEFORE HEADING OUT AND BE PREPARED FOR A
SUDDEN INCREASE IN WINDS AND WAVE HEIGHTS. CONSIDER POSTPONING

...Light Freezing Rain from Fernley to Winnemucca...

A wave of moisture is moving into Central Nevada in the form of
freezing rain. The amount that has fallen is sufficient to allow
for a thin glaze of ice over colder road surfaces like bridges and
overpasses. Expect icy conditions along Interstate 80 and Highway
50 later into this morning. If the road looks wet, it is likely
icy; exercise caution!

TO 4 INCHES EAST OF HIGHWAY 395.

* SNOW LEVELS: BEGINNING AROUND 5500 FEET EARLY TODAY BEFORE
DROPPING TO 4500 FEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS: EXPECT HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO SLICK
ROADS AND PERIODS OF VERY LOW VISIBILITY FROM WIND DRIVEN
SNOW.

INCREASING IN THE AFTERNOON. MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 8 TO 16 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET WITH 4 TO 8
INCHES AT LAKE TAHOE LEVEL...6 TO 12 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE
WEST OF HIGHWAY 89.

* WINDS: SOUTHWEST 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS 30 TO 45 MPH.

* SNOW LEVELS: BEGINNING AROUND 6500 FEET EARLY THIS MORNING AND
DROPPING BELOW LAKE TAHOE LEVEL BY 5 PM.

* WAVE HEIGHTS ON LAKE TAHOE: 1 TO 3 FEET IN THE MORNING WITH
HEIGHTS 2 TO 4 FEET IN THE AFTERNOON. HIGHEST WAVES WILL BE
FROM MID LAKE TO NORTHEASTERN SHORES.

* IMPACTS: WIND DRIVEN SNOW WILL CAUSE WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT
TIMES. EXPECT DIFFICULT TRAVEL WITH SLICK ROADS AROUND THE TAHOE
BASIN. AVALANCHE DANGER WILL INCREASE DUE TO HEAVIER...WET SNOW.
