The National Weather Service in Elko Nevada has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Central Elko County in northeastern Nevada...
Northwestern Eureka County in north central Nevada...

* Until 745 PM PDT

* At 449 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area. This rain will fall over several old burn scars which could
easily run off into local channels and roads, populated areas,

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Elko, Carlin, Wells, South Fork, Ruby Valley, Pine Valley, Dunphy,
Beowawe, Lamoille, Deeth, Ryndon, Emigrant Pass, Spring Creek,
Palisade, Angel Lake, Adobe Summit, Secret Pass, Lamoille Summit,
North Area Mine and Emigrant Mine.

541 PM PDT TUE AUG 22 2017


At 540 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Crescent Valley, moving northwest at 55 mph.

Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph will be possible with this storm along with
pea sized hail.

Locations impacted include...
Battle Mountain, Crescent Valley, Pine Valley, Dunphy, Beowawe,
Argenta, Emigrant Pass, Palisade, Mount Tenabo, Phoenix Mine, Mule
Canyon Reclamation Project, North Area Mine and South Area Mine.


Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
