...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST MONDAY...

* TIMING: SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING AND MOST OF
SATURDAY. HEAVY SNOW WILL RETURN BY SATURDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE
INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH MONDAY MORNING: 3 TO 6 FEET ABOVE
7000 FEET WITH 2 TO 4 FEET AT LAKE LEVEL.

* WINDS: SIERRA RIDGE WINDS INCREASING FROM 70 MPH TO OVER 100 MPH
ON SUNDAY. GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH IN THE LOWER ELEVATIONS. WINDS
MAY DAMAGE TREES AND POWER LINES.

* IMPACTS: DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND TRAVEL
WITH PERIODS OF WHITEOUT CONDITIONS FROM SATURDAY NIGHT TO
MONDAY MORNING OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
AROUND THE TAHOE BASIN ON SUNDAY. STAY HOME, STAY SAFE.

AVOID TRAVEL IF POSSIBLE, YOU COULD BE STUCK IN YOUR VEHICLE FOR

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT SATURDAY
NIGHT TO 4 AM PST MONDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN
CANCELLED. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING: LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS WILL END THIS EVENING. A PERIOD OF
HEAVY SNOW WILL IMPACT WESTERN NEVADA FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
TO EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 6 TO 14 INCHES FOR VALLEY LOCATIONS AND 1
TO 2 FEET FOR FOOTHILLS AND AREAS ABOVE 5000 FEET, INCLUDING
VIRGINIA CITY.

* WINDS: GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH ON SUNDAY, MAY LEAD TO AREAS OF
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* IMPACTS: DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO VERY LOW VISIBILITY
AND SNOW COVERED ROADS. TRAVEL INTO THE SIERRA ON SUNDAY COULD
BE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE. STRONGLY CONSIDER STAYING AT HOME ON
SUNDAY.
