...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO
11 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* LOCATION...This includes the West Central Mountains, West
Central Plateau and west slopes of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains.

* WINDS...Southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph,
becoming west by evening.

* TIMING...Winds will strengthen late this morning, peak late
afternoon before decreasing during the evening hours.

* VISIBILITY...Locally reduced from blowing dust. Some areas of
blowing snow may reduce visibility during the evening hours.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Drivers of vans, campers, trailers, and other
high profile vehicles should exercise extreme caution,
especially with cross winds. This includes I-40 from the
Arizona border through the Continental Divide.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remember, A High Wind Warning means damaging winds are imminent
or highly likely. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or
gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

EVENING...

* LOCATION...Sangre de Cristo and Chuska Mountains.

* WINDS...Southwest 35 to 50 mph with gusts to 65 mph.

* TIMING...Winds will strengthen through the morning hours, peak
this afternoon, the gradually decrease this evening.

* VISIBILITY...Locally reduced from blowing snow, with near
white-out conditions possible late this evening.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...Drivers of vans, campers, trailers, and other
high profile vehicles should exercise extreme caution. Sudden
cross winds are possible, including along U.S. Highway 64
between Eagle Nest and Angel Fire, and State Road 38 between
Red River and Eagle Nest. High winds could down tree branches,
as well as produce blowing and drifting snow to near white out
conditions.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 PM THIS EVENING TO
8 AM MST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 6 and 10 inches expected. Locally higher amounts over
the peaks.

* WHERE...West Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Northern
Sangre de Cristos above 9500 feet including Red River and
Southern Sangre de Cristos above 9500 feet.

* WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 8 AM MST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on snow packed and icy road
conditions. In addition, areas of poor visibility are likely
with potential for white-out conditions. Tree branches could
fall. Winds gusting as high as 55 mph will cause areas of
blowing and drifting snow.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited
visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road
