MANZANO MOUNTAINS...WEST CENTRAL HIGHLANDS AND NORTHWEST
HIGHLANDS. ADDITIONALLY...GAP WINDS WILL IMPACT AREAS IN AND
NEAR SANTA FE...SOCORRO AND CARRIZOZO.

* WINDS...EAST TO SOUTHEAST 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 50
MPH.

* TIMING...GUSTY WINDS TO INITIALLY IMPACT SANTA FE AND THE SANDIA
AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS BY MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND ACROSS WEST
CENTRAL AND NNORTHWEST HIGHER TERRAIN BEFORE 6 AM SUNDAY.

* VISIBILITY...WILL BE REDUCED TO 3 TO 5 MILES IN DUST PRONE
AREAS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...IN ADDITION TO AREAS OF BLOWING DUST...
HAZARDOUS CROSS WINDS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF INTERSTATE 25 NEAR
AND SOUTH OF SANTA FE AND IN NORTHERN SOCORRO COUNTY...AS WELL
AS OTHER NORTH TO SOUTH AND NORTHEAST TO SOUTHWEST ORIENTED
ROADS. BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN STRONG GUSTS NEAR CANYONS AND

WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT
SUNDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 5 INCHES...EXCEPT 4 TO 8 INCHES IN THE
CHUSKA MOUNTAINS. LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ON EAST FACING SLOPES
OF ELEVATED TERRAIN.

* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW EARLY THIS EVENING WILL CHANGE OVER TO
ALL SNOW BY LATE THIS EVENING. PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW
ARE EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING...BEFORE THE SNOW
DECREASES IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST AND EAST AT 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS IN
THE NORTHEAST AND FAR NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS...AND AROUND TAOS.
SOUTHEAST WINDS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE CHUSKA MOUNTAINS AND IN
TAOS.

* SNOW LEVELS...STARTING ABOVE 8500 FEET DURING THE EARLY
EVENING...WILL DROP TO VALLEY BOTTOMS BY LATE TONIGHT. THE SNOW
LEVEL WILL THEN LIFT TO NEAR 7000 FEET ACROSS NORTHEAST AREAS
SUNDAY AFTERNOON...AND TO NEAR 8500 FEET ACROSS THE CHUSKA
MOUNTAINS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY. SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW IS EXPECTED. THE VISIBILITY WILL
DROP BELOW A HALF MILE AT TIMES TONIGHT DURING PERIODS OF
HEAVY SNOW.

AND 4 TO 8 INCHES ON MOUNT TAYLOR AND THE JEMEZ MOUNTAINS. LOCALLY
HIGHER AMOUNTS ON EAST FACING SLOPES.

* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW DURING THE EARLY EVENING WILL CHANGE OVER
TO ALL SNOW TONIGHT AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THROUGH SUNDAY
MORNING. SNOWFALL WILL DECREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY SUNDAY
AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...BECOMING SOUTHEAST AT 20 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50
MPH AFTER MIDNIGHT. REMAINING STRONG SUNDAY MORNING...THEN
GRADUALLY WEAKENING SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW LEVELS...STARTING ABOVE 8500 FEET DURING THE EARLY
EVENING...THEN DROPPING TO VALLEY BOTTOMS BY LATE TONIGHT.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...PERIODS OF WHITE OUT CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
LATE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING WITH SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND
DRIFTING OF SNOW. SNOW DRIFTS UP TO 1 FOOT ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS...AND UP TO 2 FEET IN THE JEMEZ
