MOUNTAINS...CENTRAL AND SOUTH CENTRAL HIGHLANDS AS WELL AS
GUADALUPE...DE BACA...CHAVES AND EASTERN LINCOLN COUNTIES.

* WINDS...WEST TO NORTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH THIS
AFTERNOON...INCREASING TO 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH
THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE BY LATE MORNING...AND PEAK THIS
EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING TOWARD SUNRISE.

* VISIBILITY...LOCAL REDUCTIONS IN VISIBILITY ARE POSSIBLE IN
BLOWING SNOW ACROSS THE SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...STRONG CROSS WINDS ARE EXPECTED ON NORTH TO
SOUTH ORIENTED ROADWAYS INCLUDING HIGHWAY 285 BETWEEN CLINES
CORNERS AND ROSWELL. LOOSE AND LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS MAY BECOME
LOFTED. DOWNED TREE LIMBS AND POWERLINES ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

REMEMBER...A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS DAMAGING WINDS ARE IMMINENT
OR HIGHLY LIKELY. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR

LOCALLY GREATER AMOUNTS OVER THE PEAKS AND ALONG WEST FACING
SLOPES OF THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL PERSIST TODAY BEFORE TAPERING OFF EARLY THIS
EVENING.

* WINDS...WEST WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 25 TO 40 MPH WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTS FROM 35 TO 55 MPH. THE STRONGER WINDS WILL
OCCUR OVER RIDGETOPS AND EXPOSED AREAS.

* SNOW LEVELS...COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW AT ALL LOCATIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY WITH
REDUCED VISIBILITY IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. AREAS OF BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW ARE EXPECTED WITH SIGNIFICANT VISIBILITY
RESTRICTION AT TIMES. TRAVEL WILL BECOME DIFFICULT OR
IMPOSSIBLE AT HIGH ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8000 FEET.
