SATURDAY...

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES IN THE UPPER RIO GRANDE
VALLEY. SIX TO 12 INCHES AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8000 FEET WITH
LOCALLY GREATER AMOUNTS OVER THE PEAKS AND ALONG WEST FACING
SLOPES OF THE SOUTHWEST MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY TONIGHT
THEN PERSIST THROUGH SATURDAY. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF SATURDAY
EVENING.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 10 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS FROM 20 TO 35 MPH
TONIGHT...STRENGTHENING SATURDAY FROM 25 TO 40 MPH WITH
OCCASIONAL GUSTS FROM 35 TO 55 MPH. THE STRONGER WINDS WILL
OCCUR OVER RIDGETOPS.

* SNOW LEVELS...COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW AT ALL LOCATIONS.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY WITH
REDUCED VISIBILITY IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. AREAS OF BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW ARE EXPECTED WITH SIGNIFICANT VISIBILITY
RESTRICTION AT TIMES. TRAVEL WILL BECOME DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE
AT HIGH ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8000 FEET.

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL
DANGEROUS. STRONG WINDS ARE LIKELY. ONLY TRAVEL IN AN EMERGENCY.

AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES POSSIBLE ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL INCREASE IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY
TONIGHT...THEN PERSIST THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. SNOW WILL
BECOME MORE INTERMITTENT AND SHOWERY BY LATE SATURDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST AROUND 10 MPH TONIGHT...EXCEPT UP TO 20 MPH
ACROSS THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND HIGHLANDS. STRENGTHENING AND
SHIFTING OUT OF THE WEST SATURDAY AT 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP
TO 30 MPH. GUSTS AROUND 40 MPH OVER THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND
HIGHLANDS SATURDAY.

* SNOW LEVELS...COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW AT ALL LOCATIONS...EXCEPT FOR
THE SAN FRANCISCO RIVER VALLEY WHERE THE SNOW LEVEL WILL LOWER
TO THE VALLEY BOTTOM AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOWPACKED AND ICY.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE RESTRICTED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING
