EVENING...

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH THE
AFTERNOON...BEFORE DECREASING IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY THIS
EVENING.

* WINDS...GENERALLY OUT OF THE NORTH OR NORTHEAST AT 10 TO 20 MPH
WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH...EXCEPT 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND
40 MPH AROUND RATON...BARTLETT MESA AND JOHNSON MESA. OUT OF THE
EAST OR SOUTHEAST IN THE WEST CENTRAL AND CHUSKA MOUNTAINS.

* SNOW LEVELS...LIFTING TO AROUND 7500 FEET THIS
AFTERNOON...EXCEPT ALONG AND EAST OF THE SANGRE DE CRISTO
MOUNTAINS WHERE IT WILL REMAIN AROUND 6250 FEET.

* LOCAL IMPACTS...ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW PACKED AND ICY. SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE. THE VISIBILITY WILL
DROP BELOW THREE QUARTERS OF A MILE AT TIMES DURING PERIODS OF
HEAVIER SNOW.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
