The National Weather Service in Midland/Odessa has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM MDT Friday.
The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* WIND...West 25 to 45 mph.

* HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.

* FIRE DANGER...Very high.

* IMPACTS...Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Here are some things you can do to help prevent wildland fires:
Stow trailer chains properly. Avoid driving in dry grass.
Extinguish cigarettes inside your vehicle.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 9 PM MDT FRIDAY...

* TIMING...late Friday morning through Friday evening.

* WINDS...West 40 to 60 mph with gusts to 75 mph.

* IMPACTS...These winds could make driving difficult for high
profile vehicles such as campers, vans and tractor trailers.
Airplanes flying over the Guadalupe Mountains may experience
severe turbulence.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.
