...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS
EVENING TO 4 PM MST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Plan on slippery and icy
road conditions. In addition, areas of poor visibility are
expected in snow and blowing snow. Small tree branches could
fall as well. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with 4
to 8 inches inches in the higher terrain, are expected. While
much of the Albuquerque metro area will likely see an inch or
less of snow, 1 to 2 inches could fall in the foothills.

* WHERE...Jemez Mountains, West Slopes Sangre de Cristo
Mountains, East Slopes Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Upper Rio
Grande Valley, Lower Chama River Valley, Santa Fe Metro Area,
Middle Rio Grande Valley including the Albuquerque Metro Area,
Lower Rio Grande Valley, Sandia and Manzano Mountains and
Estancia Valley.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 4 PM MST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While snow amounts in lower elevations will
be light, the rapid onset of freezing temperatures will cause
travel conditions to abruptly deteriorate. Winds gusting as high
as 45 to 55 mph will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow
with poor visibilities, especially in higher terrain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means periods
of snow and blowing snow will cause primarily travel
difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited

Highlands, Northwest Highlands, West Central Plateau, West
Central Mountains, West Central Highlands, Southwest Mountains
and San Francisco River Valley.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to noon MST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While snow amounts in lower elevations will
be light, the rapid onset of freezing temperatures will cause
travel conditions to abruptly deteriorate. Be prepared for
sudden changes in weather conditions with greatly reduced
visibilities and slick and icy roads at times.
