* At 708 AM EDT...Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen in some locations
within the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Trenton, New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Sandy Hook,
Somerset, Edison, Middletown, Old Bridge, Bensalem, East Brunswick,
Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick,
Marlboro, Manalapan, Ewing, Willingboro and Carteret.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated...or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 AM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN ATLANTIC...SOUTHEASTERN CUMBERLAND...OCEAN...CAPE
MAY...SOUTHEASTERN BURLINGTON AND SOUTH CENTRAL MONMOUTH COUNTIES...

At 757 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Mantoloking to near Tuckerton to Avalon, moving
southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated. These storms have a history of producing
wind damage in portions of southern New Jersey. A wind gust
of 54 mph occurred at Millville Airport as this line moved
through.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Toms River, Atlantic City, Ocean City, Lakewood, Jackson, Barnegat,
Pleasantville, Beachwood, Somers Point, Ventnor City, Brigantine,
Northfield, Absecon, Margate City, Point Pleasant Beach, Egg Harbor
City, North Wildwood, Tuckerton, Seaside Heights and Lakehurst.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

This severe thunderstorm may contain little or no lightning. Do not
wait until you hear thunder before taking cover.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
