AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...SOME AREAS WILL DIP TO THIS RANGE DURING
THE MID TO LATE MORNING BEHIND SOME SHOWER ACTIVITY...GENERALLY
ALONG AND SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 6.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL SPREAD QUICKLY...AND WILL
BE POTENTIALLY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL...AND WILL EXHIBIT EXTREME
FIRE BEHAVIOR.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS

STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS WERE OCCURRING OVER SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
THIS MORNING...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80. AT 10
AM...WINDS AT THE AIRPORT IN ORD WERE SUSTAINED AT 40 MPH AND
GUSTING TO 56 MPH. OTHER LOCATIONS WERE SUSTAINED AROUND 35 MPH
AND GUSTING 45 TO 50 MPH. THE STRONG WINDS AT ORD WILL BE POSSIBLE
ANYWHERE ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 UNTIL 1 PM. WHILE IT
WILL REMAIN WINDY THIS AFTERNOON...THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR
THROUGH MIDDAY AND THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISH THIS AFTERNOON.

ANYONE DRIVING SHOULD REMAIN ALERT AND USE CAUTION...ESPECIALLY
THOSE DRIVING HIGH-PROFILE VEHICLES SUCH AS TRUCKS AND BUSES.
