...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM MST
FRIDAY...

* TIMING...Snow will persist through Friday morning. The snow
will be heavy at times this evening and diminish overnight.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...An additional 1-2 inches of snow is
possible tonight. Storm Total Accumulations are expected to be
12 to 24 inches with locally higher amounts possible from
Torrington to Alliance. 6 to 15 inches mainly between Cheyenne
and Scottsbluff.

* WINDS/VISIBILITY...North to northeast winds 10 to 20 MPH with
higher gusts. Visibilities will be reduced to one mile at times
in falling and blowing snow.

* IMPACTS...The combination of heavy snow and gusty winds will
cause considerable blowing and drifting snow with periods of
very low visibilities. This will make travel extremely dangerous
or impossible today, especially in northern areas. Very icy
roads are likely across the entire area tonight due to wet,
slushy snow that froze after sunset.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of
snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
an emergency. If you must travel...keep an extra flashlight...
food...and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
