A winter storm system will begin to move into the area late
Wednesday night, and move through the area Thursday into Friday.
Rain may mix with or change to snow across the northwest late
Wednesday night, with the snow area expanding south and eastward
through the day Thursday. Snow is expected to continue Thursday
night, then taper off or end Friday morning. There is potential
for around 6 inches of snow across the panhandle and north central
Nebraska, with 2 to 5 inches possible across central and southwest
Nebraska. Stay tuned for further updates, as it is possible that
snow amounts and locations to receive the heaviest snow amounts
may change. Winds will be northerly at 15 to 30 mph Thursday night
into Friday. Blowing and drifting snow is expected.
