...PATCHY ICE ACROSS ROADWAYS THROUGH LATE MORNING FRIDAY...
Recently melted snow across the higher elevations of the North
Carolina mountains will freeze overnight and create patchy black
ice across roadways. The ice will persist until surface
temperatures rise above freezing late Friday morning.
Motorists are advised to be alert for patches of very slick black
ice...especially across bridges and overpasses...as they drive
through the overnight and early morning hours.
