...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast North Carolina and
northeast South Carolina, including the following areas, in
southeast North Carolina, Bladen, Coastal Brunswick, Coastal
New Hanover, Coastal Pender, Columbus, Inland Brunswick,
Inland New Hanover, Inland Pender, and Robeson. In northeast
South Carolina, Central Horry, Coastal Georgetown, Coastal
Horry, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Inland Georgetown,
Marion, Marlboro, Northern Horry, and Williamsburg.

* From late tonight through Monday afternoon

* 2 to 4 inches of rain will fall late tonight through Monday on
top of already soggy ground, which brings the potential for
flooding. Overflow of water from ditches and streams could lead
to flash flooding as well, where the danger increases greatly,
due to the power of moving water.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to
flooding or flash flooding.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
