SATURDAY ABOVE 6500 FEET...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ABOVE 6500 FEET REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
NOON MDT SATURDAY.

* IMPACTS/TIMING: AN UNSEASONABLY COLD CANADIAN AIR MASS WILL
DESCEND UPON THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE OVERNIGHT...WITH AIR
TEMPERATURES STEADILY COOLING THROUGH SATURDAY. AT THE SAME TIME
PRECIPITATION WILL STEADILY INTENSIFY ALONG THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE TONIGHT AND CONTINUE AT A HEAVY RATE THROUGH SATURDAY
MORNING. THIS COMBINATION WILL DRIVE THE SNOW LEVEL DOWN TO
BETWEEN 6500 AND 7000 FEET.

* ADDITIONAL IMPACTS: PERSONS HIKING...TRAVELING OR RECREATING
BETWEEN 5000 FEET AND 6500 FEET SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR A VERY
COLD RAIN...WHICH WHEN COMBINED WITH WINDS OF 10 TO 20 MPH AND
AIR TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S AND 40S COULD HEIGHTEN HYPOTHERMIA
CONCERNS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: 1 TO 3 INCHES BETWEEN 6500 FEET AND 7000
FEET...INCLUDING LOGAN PASS. 2 TO 5 INCHES ABOVE 7000 FEET.
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS OF UP TO 8 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ON THE
HIGHEST PEAKS OF THE BOB MARSHALL WILDERNESS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. IN THIS CASE THE MOST
SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS WILL BE FELT TO THOSE HIKING AND VISITING THE
HIGHER TERRAIN TRAILS AND USFS ROADS. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
