...HIGH WIND WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY
The National Weather Service in Great Falls has issued a High
Wind Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through
* Winds: West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Local gusts up
to 80 mph possible along the Rocky Mountain Front.
* Timing: Strong and gusty winds are possible along the Northern
Rocky Mountain Front early Tuesday morning, with the winds
expected to spread eastward along the Hi-Line into eastern
portions of the forecast area. The strong winds are expected to
continue into Tuesday evening before diminishing.
* Impacts: Strong winds could break branches and power lines.
Isolated power outages are possible. Travel could also be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
