* At 950 PM CST...Doppler Radar estimates 1 to 2 inches of rain has
occurred in the past 3 hours. Showers and thunderstorms will
produce an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain over the next 3 hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clarksdale, Marvell, Elaine, Helena, West Helena, St Francis
National Park, White River National Wildlife Refuge, Marks,
Lambert, Jonestown, Friars Point, Tunica, Crenshaw, Sledge, Lexa,
Belen, Dubbs, North Tunica, Vance and Crumrod.


Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Helena
* from Saturday March 03 until Wednesday March 14.
* At 08 PM Saturday the stage was 35.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 45.5 feet on Wednesday March 07.
* Flood stage is 44.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Saturday March 03 and
continue to rise to near 45.5 feet by Wednesday March 07.The river
will fall below flood stage by Wednesday March 14.
* At 46.0 feet...In Mississippi, houses at Robson Towhead are being
flooded. Settlement by Old River Chutes is going under water. All
places on the northeast side of Desoto Lake are under water.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River at Tunica Riverpark
* from Monday February 26 until Saturday March 17.
* At 07 PM Saturday the stage was 39.3 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 48.5 feet on Tuesday March 06.
* Flood stage is 41.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Monday February 26 and
continue to rise to near 48.5 feet by Tuesday March 06.The river
will fall below flood stage by Saturday March 17.
* At 49.0 feet...Water is beginning to go over Loggerhead Lane going
into Bordeaux Camp. Drum Cove is flooding. Buffalo Drive is mostly
covered. South ends of Ricky and Brown Roads are flooded. Street
out of Nel-Win Camp is flooded. Tammy and Lloyd Roads are flooded.
Bee Trail and Plum Road are going under water. The east part of
Sherry Lane is being covered. Peters Island is almost completely

* until Sunday February 25.
* At 08 PM Saturday the stage was 11.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Maximum forecast stage of 20.0 feet on Sunday February 25.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage by Sunday February 25 and
continue to rise to near 20.0 feet by Sunday February 25.The river
will fall below flood stage by Sunday February 25.
* At 20.0 feet...Several homes in Marks are flooded. Farm land
flooding is widepread.

* Portions of East Arkansas, North Mississippi, Southeast
Missouri, and West Tennessee, including the following areas,
in East Arkansas, Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene,
Lawrence, Lee, Mississippi, Phillips, Poinsett, Randolph, and
St. Francis. In North Mississippi, Alcorn, Benton, Coahoma,
DeSoto, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Tate, Tippah, and Tunica.
In Southeast Missouri, Dunklin and Pemiscot. In West
Tennessee, Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer,
Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry,
Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton, and

* Until 6 AM CST Sunday

* Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible
through early Sunday morning, with highest amounts expected
north of Interstate 40.

* Runoff from heavy rainfall may result in rapid rises in river,
stream, and creek levels. Widespread rural lowland flooding is
possible and poor drainage urban areas may experience street

current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
