* Scattered thunderstorms through this evening could produce
locally heavy rainfall. Additional rainfall amounts of around
one inch with locally higher amounts on top of the already
saturated grounds and ongoing flooding could produce localized
* Heavy rainfall will result in flooding of low lying or poor
drainage areas...and dangerous flash flooding on smaller creeks
and streams. Moderate to major flooding is either occurring or
forecast on larger streams and rivers.
A Flash Flood Watch is advanced notice that conditions are
favorable that may lead to flash flooding. People in the Watch
area, especially in flood prone areas, should use this time to
make preparations just in case. Stay informed, and be ready for
quick action if flooding is observed or if a Flash Flood Warning

Reynolds County in southeastern Missouri...
Madison County in southeastern Missouri...
Washington County in east central Missouri...
St. Francois County in southeastern Missouri...
* Until 445 AM CDT Monday.
* At 438 PM CDT, Law enforcement and the Department of Transporation
were reporting flooding across the area. This flooding is the
result of runoff from 4 to 8 inches of rainfall that has fallen
since late Friday. Flooding will continue on area creeks, streams,
poor drainage areas, and roads which are often subject to minor
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Farmington, Chester, Sullivan, Bonne Terre, Desloge, Ste.
Genevieve, Sparta, Fredericktown, Red Bud, Cuba, Potosi,
Steelville, Bourbon, Bismarck, Ironton, Leadwood, Anthonies Mill,
Bremen, Park Hills and Reynolds.
This also includes Washington State Park, St. Joe State Park, St.
Francois State Park, Onondaga Cave State Park, Johnsons Shut-Ins
State Park, Hawn State Park, Fort Davidson Historic Site, Felix Valle
House State Park, Elephant Rocks State Park, Taum Sauk Mountain State
Park, Missouri Mines Historic Site, and Clearwater Lake Recreational

the Black River near Annapolis
* until late Tuesday night.
* At 4:15 PM Sunday the stage was 21.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* The river is forecast to continue rising to near 21.5 feet by this
evening, then fall below flood stage Tuesday morning.
* Impact: At 21.0 feet...Highway 21 at Circle Drive in Lesterville
