WEBSTER...DALLAS...DOUGLAS...WRIGHT...CHRISTIAN...TANEY...STONE...
POLK...GREENE AND DADE COUNTIES...

At 1158 PM CST, emergency management reported that low water
crossings were beginning to flood over portions of southwestern
Missouri. One to two inches of rain has fallen across the region,
with an additional one to two inches possible overnight.

Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
susceptible to the dangers of flooding.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route H just north of Pleasant Hope...
Route E north of Highway 38 at The Gasconade River...
Route CC west of Fair Grove at The Pomme De Terre River...
Highway 13 at Railey Creek near Reeds Spring...
and Highway 13 at Pine Run northwest of Galena.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

impassable to motorists, with an increase in flooding expected
to occur through the afternoon.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
following areas, in southeast Kansas, Cherokee. In Missouri,
Barry, Camden, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene,
Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller,
Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, Stone,
Taney, Texas, Webster, and Wright.

* Through this evening

* A couple more rounds of moderate to locally heavy rainfall will
occur on already saturated ground through this evening. One to
two inches of additional rainfall is expected near and south of
the Interstate 44 corridor. Amounts up to three inches are
possible over localized areas.

* Additional flooding may develop including low water crossings,
low lying spots, area creeks, streams, and rivers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
