The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Southern Miami County in east central Kansas...
Linn County in east central Kansas...
Henry County in west central Missouri...
Bates County in west central Missouri...

* Until 900 PM CDT Wednesday

* At 758 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding along
several area creeks, streams, and river. Water has also been
reported over several area roadways.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clinton, Osawatomie, Butler, Windsor, Adrian, Rich Hill,
Pleasanton, La Cygne, Mound City, Drexel, Linn Valley, Calhoun,
Deepwater, Montrose, Hume, Parker, Fontana, Coal, Amsterdam and


Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 6:45 AM Wednesday The stage was 25.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...rise above flood stage by Saturday evening and continue
to rise to near 31.8 feet by early Sunday morning. The river will
fall below flood stage by early Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet...Flood waters impact all of the low lying
areas in the Schell Osage Conservation Area as well as several
county roads west of Schell City.

The Marais Des Cygnes River near Trading Post.
* until Saturday evening.
* At 8:46 AM Wednesday the stage was 25.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 27.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 31.4 feet by Friday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage by Friday before midnight.
* At 27.0 feet...Flooding of low-lying farmland occurs and water
begins to affect Stateline Road north of the gauge.

The Flood Warning continues for
The South Grand River at Urich.
* until Friday afternoon.
* At 9:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 29.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 29.4 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage early Thursday
* At 28.0 feet...K Highway is under water approximately 1 mile south
of Urich. Many other roads along the river are flooded as well.
* At 24.0 feet...Flooding occurs across locations within 0.5 to 1.5
miles of the river. Areas affected include low lying pastures along
with cropland and secondary roads.
