The Flood Advisory continues for
the White River Above Whitehall
* until Saturday afternoon.
* at 01 PM Tuesday the stage was 3.2 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Forecast, the river will rise to near 5.5 feet by Thursday morning.
* Impact, at 6.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of several cottages,
canoe liveries, and farmland along the river.

At 355 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated numerous showers moving east
across the area. Up to two inches of rain had already fallen and up
to another inch is expected to fall the rest of this afternoon and
this evening. This will continue the flooding threat into Wednesday

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Muskegon, Mount Pleasant, Big Rapids, Alma, Greenville, Clare,
Ithaca, Hart, Newaygo, Evart, Stanton, White Cloud, Shelby, Muskegon
Heights, St. Louis, Fremont, Roosevelt Park, North Muskegon,
Whitehall and Reed City.


Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
