...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 100 PM EST THURSDAY FOR
NEWAYGO... GRATIOT... ISABELLA... CLARE... OSCEOLA... MUSKEGON...
OCEANA... MECOSTA AND MONTCALM COUNTIES...

Rain has ended and no more is expected but flooding continues in the
warned area. Two inches of rain with combined snowmelt has resulted
in sharp rises on area rivers, creeks and streams. Many roads will
remain flooded or closed until the water recedes.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Muskegon, Mount Pleasant, Big Rapids, Alma, Greenville, Clare,
Ithaca, Hart, Newaygo, Evart, Stanton, White Cloud, Shelby, St.
Louis, Fremont, Whitehall and Reed City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

* at 11:15 AM Wednesday the stage was 6.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
* Minor Flooding is occurring and Minor Flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, the river will continue to fall below flood stage by
after midnight tonight.
* Impact, at 6.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of several cottages,
canoe liveries, and farmland along the river.
* Flood history, this crest compares to a previous crest of 6.6 feet
on Apr 10 2015.
