EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY FOR LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH
IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM MONDAY TO 1 PM EST TUESDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

* RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW LATE MONDAY MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON
AS COLDER AIR QUICKLY MOVES INTO THE AREA. THE SNOW WILL CONTINUE
MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES INTO MONDAY MORNING.

* LOOK FOR STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 7 INCHES OVER THE
HIGHER TERRAIN FROM HERMAN INTO THE NORTHERN HURON MOUNTAINS...AND
ALSO NEAR SKANDIA AND CARLSHEND. ELSEWHERE...3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW
IS ANTICIPATED...EXCEPT OVER MORE INLAND AREAS FROM WITCH LAKE TO
ARNOLD WHERE ONLY 2 TO 3 INCHES IS EXPECTED.

* NORTH WINDS GUSTING TO 45 MPH...STRONGEST NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR
MONDAY EVENING INTO MONDAY NIGHT...WILL ALSO PRODUCE AREAS OF
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

FLOOD ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM MONDAY TO 6 AM EST
TUESDAY.

* WINDS...NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH ARE EXPECTED ON
MONDAY AND MONDAY EVENING NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR. GUSTS MAY REACH 50
MPH.

* WAVES...THE STRONG WINDS WILL BUILD WAVES UP TO 13 TO 18 FEET MONDAY
AFTERNOON AND MONDAY EVENING. THE HIGHEST WAVES ARE EXPECTED ALONG
THE WESTERN SHORE OF THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO
MONDAY EVENING...AND ALONG THE SHORE FROM BIG BAY AND MARQUETTE
EAST TO MUNISING...GRAND MARAIS AND CRISP POINT MONDAY NIGHT. WAVES
WILL SUBSIDE TO LESS THAN 10 FEET LATE MONDAY NIGHT.

* IMPACTS...WAVES THIS HIGH ALONG WITH WATER LEVELS ABOVE NORMAL FOR
THIS TIME OF YEAR WILL RESULT IN BEACH EROSION AND POSSIBLE FLOODING
OF PRONE LOW-LYING AREAS ALONG THE SHORELINE.

A LAKESHORE FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS WILL
