* LOCATIONS...PORTIONS OF EASTERN AND NORTHEASTERN MASSACHUSETTS.

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW AND ICY SURFACES.

* ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 5 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO FLURRIES BETWEEN MIDNIGHT AND 2
AM. WARNINGS WILL PROBABLY BE DROPPED BY 1 OR 2 AM.

* IMPACTS...VARYING DEGREES OF SNOW...SLUSH AND ICE ON ROAD
SURFACES WILL MAKE TRAVEL HAZARDOUS IN MOST OF THE AREA THROUGH
1 OR 2 AM. CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE AFTER ABOUT 1 AM BUT EARLY
MORNING DRIVERS WILL STILL NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY

* ACCUMULATIONS...TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 8 TO 12 INCHES.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO SCATTERED FLURRIES BETWEEN
MIDNIGHT AND 2 AM.

* IMPACTS...PRIMARY IMPACTS CONTINUE TO BE DOWNED LIMBS...TREES
AND WIRES DUE TO THE HEAVY WET SNOW. TRAVEL WILL REMAIN
HAZARDOUS DUE TO BOTH SLIPPERY SURFACES AND IN SOME LOCATIONS
DUE TO DOWNED TREES AND POWERLINES. ALTHOUGH THE STEADIER SNOW
SHOULD END BY AROUND 2 AM...DRIVERS WILL STILL NEED TO BE WARY
OF PATCHES OF BLACK ICE THROUGH DAWN.

AROUND A TRACE OF ICE.

* TIMING...SNOW OR RAIN CHANGING TO SNOW SHOULD TAPER OFF TO
SCATTERED LIGHT SNOW SHOWER AFTER 1 OR 2 AM. TEMPERATURES WILL
LIKELY COOL TO NEAR FREEZING DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS AND
CAUSE UNTREATED SURFACES TO BECOME SLIPPERY.

* IMPACTS...MAIN IMPACT WILL BE THE FORMATION OF SOME ICY SPOTS ON
UNTREATED ROAD SURFACES OVERNIGHT. PATCHY BLACK ICE IS POSSIBLE
UNTIL AROUND 9 AM.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SNOW AND/OR ICE IS
FORECAST TO DEVELOP IN THE AFFECTED AREAS...BUT ACCUMULATIONS ARE
EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT. ANY SNOW OR ICE WOULD RESULT IN SLIPPERY
CONDITIONS ON UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS. WHEN
TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW FREEZING...MOTORISTS NEED TO BE ESPECIALLY
CAREFUL ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES WHERE SLIPPERY SPOTS CAN EASILY
DEVELOP.
