...LAKE WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CST THIS AFTERNOON...
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect until 4 PM CST this afternoon.
* EVENT...Strong and gusty winds of 15-20 MPH with gusts to 25-30
MPH producing a rough chop on area waterways. Southwest winds
shifting to the Northwest in wake of the cold front.
* TIMING...Through 4 PM CST, with the winds tapering off in the
* IMPACT...Winds will likely produce rough chop on area lakes
and waterways, which may be hazardous to boaters.
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.
