A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.
STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.

* COLDER AIR WILL MOVE IN FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST THIS THROUGH
TONIGHT...CHANGING PRECIPITATION FROM RAIN...TO A MIXTURE OF
FREEZING RAIN...SLEET...AND THEN TO SNOW. FREEZING RAIN AND
ACCUMULATING SLEET WILL BEGIN THIS EVENING...TRANSITIONING TO
ALL SNOW FROM JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT ON THURSDAY THROUGH THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS. SNOW SHOULD LIGHTEN AND TAPER OFF BY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 8 INCHES...THE HIGHEST
SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS GENERALLY NORTH OF THE CUMBERLAND
PARKWAY TO HAL ROGERS PARKWAY TO KY HIGHWAY 80 CORRIDOR.
ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE FROM FREEZING RAIN OF A TENTH OF AN INCH
OR LESS ARE ALSO EXPECTED.

* SNOW OF THIS MAGNITUDE WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT TO
TREACHEROUS. IN ADDITION...THE HEAVY WET NATURE OF THIS SNOW
WILL CAUSE STRESS ON WEAK STRUCTURES AND COULD ALSO LEAD TO
DOWNED POWER LINES AND TREES WITH WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES
