...SOME LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS EXPECTED LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY
NIGHT MAINLY OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...

A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM DROPPING SOUTHEAST FROM THE
NORTHERN PLAINS WILL TRACK THROUGH EASTERN KENTUCKY TONIGHT. RAIN
WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW FIRST OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS
ABOVE 3000 FEET LATE TONIGHT. SNOW LEVELS WILL THEN GRADUALLY DESCEND
TO THE VALLEYS THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...WITH SOME SLICK SPOTS
POSSIBLE FOR THE EARLY MORNING COMMUTE. SNOW SHOWERS WILL THEN
DEVELOP AND CONTINUE TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE DAY ON
MONDAY AND INTO MONDAY NIGHT AS COLDER AIR FILTERS INTO THE AREA.

TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS
MAINLY HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET BORDERING VIRGINIA. AROUND A
HALF OF AN INCH OR LESS CAN BE EXPECTED FOR MOST VALLEY AREAS. A FEW
BURSTS OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THIS EVENT...QUICKLY REDUCING
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. ADDITIONALLY...FALLING TEMPERATURES MONDAY
EVENING INTO MONDAY NIGHT ALONG WITH ANY SNOW COVERED ROADS WILL MAKE
FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
