The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a
* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Kentucky,
northeast Kentucky, south central Kentucky, and southeast
Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central
Kentucky, Bath, Elliott, Estill, Fleming, Menifee, Montgomery,
Powell, and Rowan. In northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin.
In south central Kentucky, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski,
Rockcastle, Wayne, and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell,
Breathitt, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Jackson, Knott, Knox, Lee,
Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Morgan, Owsley, Perry, Pike, and

* 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen across the area over the past
24 hours with an addition 1 to 2 inches possible through sunset.
* Excessive rains will likely cause localized incidents of
flooding through the first part of the evening - mainly south of
the Mountain Parkway.
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

extending from Pigeonroost to Fonde, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
