THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF SOUTHEAST KANSAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...ALLEN...CHAUTAUQUA...ELK...GREENWOOD...LABETTE...
MONTGOMERY...NEOSHO...WILSON AND WOODSON.

* THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE THROUGH TONIGHT.
RAIN MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES. WITH GROUNDS ALREADY SATURATED...ANY
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL GO INTO RUNOFF AND WILL LIKELY RESULT
IN FLOODING. MINOR AND MODERATE RIVER FLOODING IS ALREADY
FORECAST FOR SOME OF THE RIVERS IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

* THOSE WITH OUTDOOR PLANS ALONG CREEKS AND RIVERS NEED TO
MONITOR THE WEATHER SITUATION CLOSELY.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Neosho River Near Chanute.
* Until Tuesday afternoon.
* At 2:31 PM Sunday the stage was 25.0 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 29.4 feet by
early Monday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage
Tuesday early afternoon.
* Impact...At 30.0 feet...Flood waters flow across old Highway 169 at
.5 miles south of the gage site or 2 miles north of Chanute.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Neosho River Near Parsons.
* Until Thursday morning.
* At 2:01 PM Sunday the stage was 21.0 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 26.1 feet by
early Tuesday morning then will fall below flood stage by early
Thursday morning.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet...Flood waters spread over fields to a
distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly
along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live
along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience
water entering their homes at basement levels.

* Until Wednesday morning.
* At 2:15 PM Sunday the stage was 29.7 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 35.5 feet by
Monday evening then will fall below flood stage Wednesday
morning.
* Impact...At 36.0 feet...The intersection of Main Street and just
south of 7th Street becomes flooded to a depth of near 10 inches
for a distance of 10 to 15 yards.
