Northwestern Montgomery County in west central Indiana...

* Until 645 AM EST Thursday

* At 632 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated rain will return to the
area to continue flooding. Over two inches of rain fell early
Wednesday.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lafayette, Monticello, West Lafayette, Delphi, Covington,
Veedersburg, Williamsport, Attica, Flora, Rossville, Shadeland,
Dayton, Battle Ground, Mulberry, Cayuga, Waynetown, Linden, West
Lebanon, Camden and Clarks Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.

* At 8 PM Wednesday the stage was 11.3 feet and rising.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise to a crest near 14.5 feet around 7
PM Sunday February 25 and begin falling.
* At 15.4 feet...Record flooding is in progress.
* This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.5 feet which occurred
on Jan 7 1993.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Tippecanoe River near Delphi.
* until further notice.
* At 9:30 PM Wednesday the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 11.5 feet
by Friday morning.
* At 15.0 feet...Major flooding in progress. Evacuation of many
people downstream of Oakdale Dam. Roads along both sides of the
river are flooded, some by more than a foot deep. Substantial
property damage downstream of Oakdale Dam. Flooded areas include
Horseshoe Bend, Tippecanoe Ranch and Tecumseh Bend Roads, CR 1275 W
north of Bicycle Bridge Rd, extreme west end of CR 975 N and low
part of Goldsberry Rd. Residents park cars on high ground.
Flooding affects numerous residential and recreational areas along
the river.

late Saturday morning.

including during the morning commute on Thursday. Be prepared
for reduced visibilities at times.
