The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, north
central Indiana, south central Indiana, southeast Indiana,
southwest Indiana, and west central Indiana, including the
following areas, in central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone,
Clinton, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard,
Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In
east central Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In north
central Indiana, Carroll. In south central Indiana, Brown,
Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast Indiana, Jennings.
In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, and
Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay, Fountain, Montgomery,
Owen, Parke, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Vermillion, Vigo, and Warren.

* Through Monday morning

* Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected through tonight on
top of rain that has already fallen. Another couple of inches of
rain are possible over all or parts of the watch area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.3 feet by late
this afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow
early afternoon.
* At 16.5 feet...Flood water near or on Owen Park Road. Camp Otto
Road flooded by several feet of water.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this afternoon and continue to
rise to near 19.4 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.
* At 19.0 feet...Road south of river gage begins to flood. Gosport
Road closes. Extensive agricultural flooding is in progress. Moon
Road in very rural northwest Monroe County is extensively flooded.

Bluff and Paragon Roads are impassable. Flood waters affect a few
homes in Waverly.

* At 15.3 feet...Extensive flooding of agricultural lands. Blue Bluff

SULLIVAN...HENDRICKS...CLAY AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...

At 241 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 2
to 5 inches of rain has fallen over the warned area this weekend.
Also, more widespread moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorms
were moving northeast across much of the warned area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Indianapolis, Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, Carmel, Fishers,
Noblesville, Greenwood, Lawrence, Plainfield, Franklin, Brownsburg,
Greenfield, Lebanon, Beech Grove, Zionsville, Martinsville, Speedway,
Greencastle, Mooresville and Danville.

Additional rainfall amounts of over an inch are possible in the
warned area through tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
