The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the White River at Anderson.
* from this evening to Sunday afternoon.
* At 4:30 PM Friday the stage was 8.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 11.8 feet by tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall
below flood stage by Sunday morning.
* At 12.0 feet...Flooding of Irondale Park, Madison Avenue Park,
Mounds State Park, and low agricultural land begins. Grand Avenue
east of Broadway Street Bridge is nearly impassable. City of
Anderson closes off Edgewater Park.

...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR NORTHERN
HANCOCK...EAST CENTRAL HENDRICKS...MARION AND SOUTHWESTERN HAMILTON
At 514 PM EDT, law enforcement, the public and trained weather
spotters reported flooding across the warned area. Over 4 inches of
rain has fallen over parts of the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Indianapolis, Carmel, Fishers, Lawrence, Plainfield, Greenfield,
Speedway, Avon, Cumberland, McCordsville, Meridian Hills, Warren
Park, Clermont, Rocky Ripple, Williams Creek, Wynnedale, Spring Hill,
Crows Nest, North Crows Nest and Geist Reservoir.
Little additional rainfall is expected in the warned area.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
