Benton Heights, Buchanan, Paw Paw Lake, Dowagiac, Cassopolis,

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan, including
the following areas, in northern Indiana, La Porte, St. Joseph
IN, and Starke. In southwest Michigan, Berrien and Cass MI.

* Through Monday morning

* Periods of heavy rainfall are expected late this afternoon into
tonight. Additional rainfall amounts in excess of an inch will
be possible.

* Rainfall may be heavy enough to cause flooding of streets, low
lying areas, and streams. River flooding may also develop by
Monday and continue until late in the week.


A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Kankakee River at Davis
* from Monday evening to Thursday morning.
* At 10 AM Sunday the stage was 8.2 feet and steady.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage Monday night and
crest near 10.2 feet around 7 AM Tuesday May 2 and fall below
flood stage around 7 AM Wednesday May 3.
* At 11.0 feet...Flooding of secondary roads near the river begins.
