The Flood Warning continues for
The Wabash River at Terre Haute.
* until further notice.
* At 4:35 PM Friday the stage was 20.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 25.4 feet by
Monday evening then begin falling.
* At 25.0 feet...Automobile Savage Yard north of U.S. 40 floods by
backwater from Sugar Creek. Persons remaining in Toad Hop should
prepare for flooding.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* until further notice.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is forecast to have a maximum value of 26.4
feet Wednesday early afternoon.
* At 26.0 feet...Island Creek Levee on Indiana side is in danger of
failing. There are 2 farms on higher ground in protected area. A
few evacuations are necessary in Illinois towns of Hutsonville,
York, and possibly Darwin. Local improved road south of
Hutsonville to Palestine floods extensively in places.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Wabash River at Riverton.
* until further notice.
* At 10:00 AM Saturday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 25.8 feet by
Wednesday evening then begin falling.
* At 26.0 feet...Major flood in progress. Sandbagging possible in
Hutsonville and on local levees. Gill Township Flood Gage at
Riverton is installed. State Road 154 between Hutsonville and
Graysville is closed. All river roads improved or otherwise are
flooded, some by several feet of water. East side of Palestine
extensively flooded including all of Leaverton Park. Wabash River
levees on the Illinois side in Lawrence County Illinois may fail.

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Indiana, east central Indiana, south
central Indiana, southeast Indiana, southwest Indiana, and
west central Indiana, including the following areas, in
central Indiana, Bartholomew, Boone, Clinton, Decatur,
Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Howard, Johnson, Madison,
Marion, Morgan, Rush, Shelby, and Tipton. In east central
Indiana, Delaware, Henry, and Randolph. In south central
Indiana, Brown, Jackson, Lawrence, and Monroe. In southeast
Indiana, Jennings. In southwest Indiana, Daviess, Greene,
Knox, Martin, and Sullivan. In west central Indiana, Clay,
Fountain, Montgomery, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Vermillion, and

* Through Sunday morning

* Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected through
Sunday morning, in areas that have already received
significant rainfall over the past few days. This will likely
worsen flooding on area waterways and lead to flooding of
other streams, low lying areas, and poor drainage areas.


A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
