* Action stage is 13.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise slightly to near 14.5 feet by
this evening.

* Flood Warning for
The Des Plaines River at Riverside.
* from this evening to Friday afternoon.
* At 745 AM Thursday the stage was 6.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
rise to near 7.1 feet by early Friday.The river will fall below
flood stage by Friday morning.
* Impact...At 6.5 feet...Flooding affects forest preserve areas.

The Flood Warning continues for
The Des Plaines River near Des Plaines.
* until Monday afternoon.
* At 745 AM Thursday the stage was 17.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Recent activity...Gage datum was changed by 10 feet on Nov 14 2014.
Flood thresholds and flood impacts are now 10 feet higher than
previous values.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 18.3 feet by this
afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Monday morning.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Water on pavement of 1700 block of Busse
Highway, at River Rd and Gregory, Central Road, and Big Bend Drive.
