* Flood Warning for
The Rock River at Moline.
* Until further notice.
* At 8:30 AM Tuesday the stage was 10.4 feet...and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Wednesday morning and continue
rising to 14.4 feet Friday morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects South
Shore Drive and North Shore Drive in Moline west of the 27th
Street bridge. Water limits access to homes on South Shore Drive
east of the I-74 bridge. Water also affects portions of 60th
Street south of John Deere Road.

* Forecast...Rise above flood stage Wednesday morning and continue
rising to 15.9 feet Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Water affects much of Barstow Road between
Barstow and Osborn. Water also affects homes in Osborn.

rising to 16.7 feet Thursday morning. The river will fall below

* Impact...At 15.5 feet, Water affects Illinois Highway 84 north of
U.S. Highway 6 in the Colona area.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a

* Flood Watch for portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast
Missouri, including the following areas, in Illinois, Bureau,
Carroll, Hancock, Henderson, Henry IL, Jo Daviess, McDonough,
Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, Stephenson, Warren, and
Whiteside. In Iowa, Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Dubuque, Henry
IA, Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Lee, Linn,
Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren, and Washington. In
northeast Missouri, Clark and Scotland.

* Until 6 PM CST this evening

* Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to
move through the region today. Rainfall amounts of one half to
one inch today may lead to flooding.

* The ground remains frozen over much of the area and streams are
running high. Additional rainfall may lead to flooding on
streams and low lying areas. Significant rises will occur on
area rivers and many may begin to exceed flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. Monitor later forecasts and take action if a
flood warning is issued or flooding develops.
