* Until Friday morning.
* At 2:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 12.6 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity, the river continues to rise rapidly.
* Forecast, Rise above flood stage Wednesday morning and continue
rising to 16.5 feet Thursday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage Friday morning.
* Impact...At 15.5 feet, Water affects Illinois Highway 84 north of
U.S. Highway 6 in the Colona area.

* No flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Recent activity, the river has begun to steadily rise.
* Forecast, Rise above flood stage Wednesday morning and continue
rising to 14.5 feet Friday morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects South
Shore Drive and North Shore Drive in Moline west of the 27th
Street bridge. Water limits access to homes on South Shore Drive
east of the I-74 bridge. Water also affects portions of 60th
Street south of John Deere Road.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Illinois, Iowa, and northeast Missouri, including
the following areas, in Illinois, Bureau, Carroll, Hancock,
Henderson, Henry IL, Jo Daviess, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam,
Rock Island, Stephenson, Warren, and Whiteside. In Iowa,
Clinton, Des Moines, Henry IA, Jackson, Lee, Louisa,
Muscatine, Scott, and Van Buren. In northeast Missouri, Clark
and Scotland.

* Until 6 PM CST this evening

* Rain will continue through at least mid afternoon. Additional
rainfall of around one quarter to one half inch will be
possible.

* The ground remains frozen over much of the area and streams
are running high. Additional rainfall may lead to flooding on
streams and low lying areas. Significant rises will occur on
area rivers and many may begin to exceed flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. Monitor later forecasts and take action if a
flood warning is issued or flooding develops.

one tenth of an inch expected. Sleet may mix in with the
freezing rain at times with minor sleet accumulations possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and
north central, northwest and west central Illinois.

* WHEN...Starting at 6 PM CST this evening and lasting until 3 AM
CST Wednesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in difficult travel
conditions. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at times.
