...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT MDT TONIGHT
THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of eastern Idaho and southeast Idaho, including the
following areas, in eastern Idaho, Upper Snake Highlands. In
southeast Idaho, Caribou Highlands, South Central Highlands,
and Wasatch Mountains/Idaho Portion.
* From midnight MDT tonight through late Thursday night
* Significant rainfall and snowmelt expected.
* Snow levels are expected to rise to 8500 feet on Thursday with
rapid snowmelt below those levels expected as well as
significant rainfall. This will lead to excessive runoff and the
potential exists for low-lying areas to flood along with small
creeks with flooding possible on back roads. In addition, the
Portneuf River through Pocatello and Inkom, and the Bear River
through the Cache Valley, may experience bankfull conditions.
